Henry Go - Bass, BGVs

Henry Go brings a deep musical background, steady low-end feel, and decades of live experience to Salmon in the Current. His musical path started early, first with guitar lessons around age 10 before shifting to bass, where he found the instrument that felt most natural. Along the way, he also joined drumline, studied percussion, and developed a rhythmic foundation that continues to shape the way he plays bass.

Henry went on to earn a double degree in Public Relations and Marketing with a minor in percussion performance, while continuing to play, write, and perform. He later became part of Mink, a female-fronted punk/ska band that grew into one of Nashville’s top local acts, toured nationally, and performed overseas on USO tours.

In addition to his work as a player, Henry has spent much of his career in the music instrument industry, including nearly two decades with Innovative Percussion and later as U.S. Artist Relations Manager for Mapex and Sonor drums at KHS America. That mix of musician, industry professional, and lifelong rhythm-section player gives him a unique perspective on the stage and behind the scenes.

With Salmon in the Current, Henry holds down the bass and backing vocals, bringing groove, dynamics, and a wide musical vocabulary to a band that moves through rock, pop rock, country, Americana, and blues.
