Tyler Richmond - Lead Guitar, BGVs

Tyler Richmond brings versatility, precision, and a wide musical background to Salmon in the Current. A graduate of Berklee College of Music with honors, Tyler developed his musicianship across a range of styles, playing as a hired guitarist in groups spanning bluegrass, progressive rock, and everything in between.

Before moving to Nashville, Tyler interned at a recording studio in Maryland, where he learned the craft of fully analog tape recording. He also spent a year working as a pit director for a musical theatre company, building the kind of musical awareness, preparation, and adaptability that translate naturally to both live performance and studio work.

Tyler moved to Nashville in 2019 and began working sessions in Berry Hill before opening and running a music school in Wilson County for three years. Since then, he has continued as a gun-for-hire musician, teacher, session player, and producer, working on demos, live performances, and artist projects.

In addition to his work with Salmon in the Current, Tyler serves as music director and lead guitarist for Maryland-based country artist Hannah Ponce. With Salmon in the Current, he handles lead guitar and backing vocals, bringing tasteful lead work, tight harmonies, and a polished, professional edge to the band’s high-energy live sound.
